Principal Duties and Responsibilities
As a Legal Associate at Apeiron, you will play a critical role in supporting the legal and compliance functions of the company and/or its clients. Working closely with the legal team and cross-functional stakeholders, you will support in ensuring that regulatory requirements, contract management, and corporate governance align with the objectives of the company and/or its clients. Your expertise will help mitigate risks and support strategic decision-making, enabling the company and its clients to operate smoothly and efficiently.
Your role will contribute significantly to our commitment to legal excellence, compliance, and operational integrity by providing structured legal support and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Research and Compliance
- Perform the conduct of research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards applicable to the company’s operations.
- Assist in monitoring changes in legal and regulatory frameworks that may impact the business and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- Support compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to corporate governance policies and internal controls.
- Assist in the development of compliance programs and risk mitigation strategies.
Contract Management and Documentation
- Draft, review, and manage contracts, agreements, and other legal documents in collaboration with internal teams.
- Help maintain an organized database of corporate records and legal documents in both digital and physical formats, ensuring timely renewals, amendments, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Work closely with external legal counsel and other partners on complex agreements and regulatory matters.
Risk Assessment and Business Advisory
- Identify potential legal risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them.
- Perform the conduct of due diligence for business transactions, partnerships, and client engagements.
- Support business teams in structuring deals and agreements that align with legal and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Management and Others
- Act as a liaison between internal departments, external legal counsel, and other partners and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and compliance teams to address legal concerns effectively.
- Assist in providing training and awareness sessions on legal best practices and compliance policies.
- Other related responsibilities, ad-hoc projects and tasks related to the business needs.
Key Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Legal Management, Business, Political Science, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in a legal, compliance, or corporate governance role, preferably in a corporate or professional services setting. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
- Strong understanding of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess business opportunities and make data-driven recommendations.
- Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for legal documentation and reporting.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel for client visits, networking events, and partnership meetings as needed.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
