Principal Duties and Responsibilities

As a Strategy and Transactions Associate at Apeiron, you will collaborate closely with management and other team members to support internal accounting and finance functions, in addition to the execution of engagements in strategy and transactions. Your role will include analyzing market trends, financial modelling and enterprise valuations, due diligence, and transaction opportunities to provide actionable insights and recommendations. Additionally, you will create both economic and social value, contributing to purpose-driven business outcomes and helping clients make informed decisions that foster a better future.

Key Responsibilities:

Market and Financial Analysis:

  • Research and evaluate market trends, industry developments, and competitor strategies.
  • Develop financial models and perform valuation analyses to assess transaction potential.
  • Analyze historical financial performance and operational data to offer recommendations for strategic decision-making.
  • Perform finance, commercial, and operational due diligence to support transactions closing.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Help with client presentations and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders through effective communication.
  • Collaborate with senior team members in preparing and presenting client meetings and reports.

Project Management:

  • Manage project timelines to ensure all deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Coordinate efforts across various teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently and effectively.

Apeiron Accounting and Finance:

  • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives, including thought leadership, research, and business development efforts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to inform strategy development.
  • Support the Head of Finance in record-to-report, order-to-cash, and procure-to-pay activities of the business.

 

Key Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree obtainable in accounting, finance, and other related fields
  • At least 1 year experience in corporate finance is preferred
  • CPA and/or CMA certifications is ideal, but not required
  • Ability to give detailed attention to projects
  • Exceptional proficiency working with Excel, including working with pivot tables, formula’s, HLOOKUPS, VLOOKUPS
  • Proficient in the use of PowerPoint, Word, Access, Excel, and other Microsoft Office Applications to create documents and reports, etc.
  • Exceptional multitasking skills, including the ability to manage several competing priorities at the same time
  • Strong knowledge and skills in performing book-keeping, regulatory compliance, financial analysis, as well as in solving problems
  • Strong ability to communicate with colleagues, supervisor, management, in writing and in verbal format
  • Energetic and self-motivated, and the ability to work independently yet achieve set goals and targets within deadlines
  • Must be open to perform client visits as needed
